Microsoft Scholarship winner from Texas Southern University – Elvino Taylor!
Elvino is a Computer Engineering Technology major and is involved in many student organizations including IEEE, NSBE, NSPE, and SAE. He is also working at Texas Southern University providing administrative support to the Chair of the Engineering Technology Department.

TAC/ABET Visit of Electronics Engineering Technology program was held on Oct 21-23, 2007.

IAB Meeting

Electronics Engineering Technology program had the 2nd annual Industrial Advisory Board meeting in August 10, 2007.

Pre-college Summer Program

The department has been selected as one of 8 sites nationwide to provide pre-college summer engineering program to 30 high school students annually. Funding is from the Army Research Office (ARO) and it is in the amount of $50,000.00 yearly.
