Dr. Chen invited Mr. Yaoxin Qian MSEE, a senior engineer from Schlumberger, to give the faculty and students a talk at the new science building 152. The title was "Schlumberger Embedded Software Development Process".

A seminar titled "Intellectual Property (IP), Patent and Global Piracy" was organized by Dr. Thomas.
The seminar was conducted by Mr. Tom Briones MSEE -- CAD Engineer, Cypress Semiconductor. Currently Mr. Briones is a 3rd year law student at TSU's Law School and Law intern at a Law firm in Houston Texas.
